Its ergonomic design follows the natural curve of the spine, allowing the seat to slide and the backrest to recline up to 12° with a simple movement, ensuring correct posture at all times. Recognized as an icon of Italian design, Vertebra has received prestigious awards such as the ID Award (1977), the Smau Award for Industrial Design (1979), and the renowned Compasso d’Oro (1981). The chair features a glossy black shockproof polypropylene shell with a green fabric upholstery; the seat-back joint is made of tubular steel with a protective nitrovinyl bellows, while the supporting frame is constructed from tubular steel with a thermosetting resin finish. Practical and functional, these chairs are stackable and include armrests with an optional writing tablet available for both right and left-handed users.
