Sustainability Manifesto

In Europe, every year about 10 millions of tons of furniture* are through away. Reducing this waste is the aim of our mission.
We give a second life to the pre-loved design icons in order to reduce the production not really needed.

Our community of Design Lovers sell and buy unique and authentic design pieces selected by our expert Curators and strongly believe in the circular economy model acting as contributors.

We are very proud of our achievements so far but we know we can do much more.

WE DEFINED OUR NEXT GOALS TO RUN OUR SUSTAINABILITY STRATEGY ACTIVELY WORKING WITH LIFEGATE, FIRST COMPANY IN ITALY FOR SUSTAINAIBILITY.

1.

Enhance the social dimension of our business

  • .

We aim to enforce our commitment for the environment to becoming a Social Corporations by 2023.

  • .

Inclusion and diversity are power for us. With our international team and made for 60% by females, everyday we face the challenges with different perspectives.

  • .

Also, we organize team building events and promote new working modes such as the remote working to enhance well-being of people.

  • .

Finally, through improvements to the graphic interface and user experience, we want to make our platform even more inclusive, usable and accessible to all.

2.

Innovate luxury design consuming model

  • .

Luxury furniture has an intrinsic quality made up of design and precious materials that last forever, we also believe each second-hand design piece has a story to tell. Making sure that these resources are not wasted is our goal. Since we were born we gave a second life to over 2500 design pieces.

  • .

We want to reach 200,000 design furnishings on our on-line shop to make a pre-loved and more accessible alternative more usable by our Design Lovers.

  • .

In 2020 we shipped to over 30 countries, the goal now is to bring second-hand design icons all over the world.

  • .

We are involving the entire design furniture supply chain in our sustainable mission. We collaborate with brands and shops favorable to a more virtuous consumption model, that sell their display furniture through our on-line platform.

3.

Reduce our impact for the planet

  • .

We want all of our shipments to become carbon neutral. We have already joined the GO GREEN program with DHL, so that all carbon emissions related to deliveries are offset by investments in recognized and certified environmental protection projects.

  • .

We have also added the “local pick-up” as an alternative for transportation and we aim to enable this option for 90% of the products, in order to reduce the distance between our Design Lovers and the used design icons they want.

  • .

We are setting specific guidelines for the packaging to share with our sellers in order to guide them in the responsible packaging of the products to be shipped.

  • .

To improve our environmental performance, we want our website to become 100% carbon neutral by 2023.

  • .

We as a team are also striving to adopt increasingly responsible behaviors, this is why we take advantage of digital tools such as video-calls to limit travel.

4.

Make our community aware of sustainability

  • .

Our Design Lovers community is essential to promote a consumption model based on reuse. For this reason, by 2023 we want to grow the community by 10 times as much compared to today.

  • .

Spread the voice to your friends, only together can we contribute to creating a better world with less waste.

  • .

Through articles in our magazine, social content, newsletters and much more, we will then disclose information and practical advice to reduce the impact on the environment in everyday life.

  • .

Finally, we plan to establish and build solid and collaborative relationships with associations and other companies that like us put sustainability first . We believe that sharing is essential to achieve common goals.
