Stokke lounge chair by Jens Quistgaard (60s)

Stokke living room chair by Jens Harald Quistgaard from Nissen Langaa, Denmark. Designed and manufactured in the 60s, the 'Stokke' chair features Brazilian rosewood rails held together by steel bars and hooks. Simple but ingenious design did not require any tools to assemble or disassemble. The chair features legs with integrated cups designed to clip onto the slats and hold the frame in place. The base of each leg has the original black vinyl foot which protects the floor from marks. The chair seat is made of slender which is attached to the front and back rosewood stick and reinforced with stitched beech slats. The cushion is attached to the slender seat and is held in place securely. The backrest and seat cushion have the original brown suede covering. This chair is one of a kind and exceptionally rare. This vintage item has no defects, but has signs of use in the coating, some rust on the structure.
