BRAND HISTORY
Description

The Spider 291 table lamp, designed by Joe Colombo in 1965, is an emblematic example of Italian design. Made of stove-enamelled metal and equipped with a lighting body for horizontal spot bulbs, it is mounted on a chrome rod with a metal base. The lamp has a melamine joint to tilt and reposition the reflector. In 1967, it won the Compasso d'Oro award and is part of the permanent collections of prestigious museums, including the Triennale di Milano and the Philadelphia Museum of Art. It was also exhibited at the MoMA in New York in 1972, on the occasion of the exhibition "Italy: the New Domestic Landscape". The dimensions are: height 40 cm and base diameter 18 cm. The item is in good condition with minor signs of aging, without significant defects.
