Description
This rare silver-plated ashtray was designed by Cini Boeri in the early 70s for Padova Argenti. Characterized by a square shape with rounded corners and transverse engraved lines, it represents the rational style typical of 1970s design. Boeri, a leading figure in the international design scene, was a student of Gio Ponti and collaborator of Marco Zanuso, winning the prestigious Compasso d'Oro in 1979. This ashtray, a New Old Stock piece, out of production for over 45 years, is preserved in its original packaging. The thick silver plating is in excellent condition, with slight signs of oxidation that can be easily removed. The dimensions of the ashtray are 15 x 9 cm.
