Description
Set of six sculptural chairs designed by Guido Coletti, a Friulian artist known for neo-dadaism and combine art. Originally designed in 1995 and hand-signed in 2013, these chairs perfectly blend functional design with contemporary art. Each piece is hand-decorated with vibrant collages made from upcycled materials, layered paints, and assembled images, transforming each chair into a unique, tactile work of art. The heart-shaped backrests, when the chairs are aligned, create an abstract and colorful composition, both poetic and playful, and emblematic of Coletti’s distinctive style.
The chairs feature a painted metal structure supporting panels made from recycled plastic and resin, making them sturdy, comfortable, and suitable for both everyday use and artistic display. This set is an outstanding example of Italian Pop Art, with vibrant colors and decorations that evoke Rauschenberg’s combine technique, reinterpreted in a contemporary way.
Each chair has unique dimensions, highlighting the eclectic character of the set: the first measures W 75 × D 60 × H 97 cm with a seat height of 51 cm; the second W 70 × D 60 × H 110 cm with a seat height of 50 cm; the third W 76 × D 60 × H 110 cm with a seat height of 52 cm; the fourth W 65 × D 50 × H 98 cm with a seat height of 50 cm; the fifth W 70 × D 65 × H 106 cm with a seat height of 50 cm; and the sixth W 70 × D 50 × H 110 cm with a seat height of 50 cm.
Each chair is signed and dated, crafted with attention to sustainability using recycled materials, and represents a one-of-a-kind piece of Italian design. This exclusive set is ideal for collectors of functional art and Pop Art enthusiasts, offering the rare opportunity to own six works signed by an artist featured in major international exhibitions, including the 1992 Venice Biennale.
