Description
Set of 2 padded Thonet THONOS model armchairs from 1987. The chair is of the highest quality of artisanal cabinetmaking. A work of art in bent wood. The wooden structure is made of honey-colored beech wood, bent into a sinuous shape. Thonos is a model equipped with a seat and backrest made of plywood. The seats are supported by a load-bearing structure made up of 2 legs in chromed tubular steel and 2 armrests in honey-coloured curved beech wood. It has comfortable and ergonomic padding. The upholstery is in textured purple fabric and is in very good condition. The back of a chair has some light stains that are only noticeable up close (see photo). Very light marks on the wooden parts. For the rest I'm ok. This model is part of the Gerbruder Thonet Germany collection. Production 100% made in Germany. Beautiful. Thonos chairs were produced in various colors, this purple version can be called quite rare. They are in very good condition. H-armrest is 67 cm.
