Description

This iconic Pluvium umbrella stand, designed by Giancarlo Piretti in 1972 for Anonima Castelli, is an example of the functional and innovative design of the 70s. Its unique structure is composed of six rotating disks on a square base of 28x28 cm, with a total height of 50 cm. Although it shows some signs of wear due to time, the umbrella stand is still functional. Some disks are slightly stiff in movement, but this does not compromise the overall appearance or use. Giancarlo Piretti, known for his work at Anonima Castelli and creator of the famous Plia chair, studied in Bologna and left an indelible mark on the history of Italian design with pieces like this, which combine practicality and aesthetics in a harmonious way. The model does not have a visible brand.
