The Pileino floor lamp, designed by Gae Aulenti and produced by Artemide between 1970 and 1979, is an icon of 20th-century Italian design. Made of resin, with a chromed metal joint for the adjustable part and a painted metal base. The lamp is fully functional and complete with original cable, switch and plug, but has slight signs of aging that testify to its authenticity and its use over the years. Thanks to its futuristic design, the Pileino was also used in the setting of an episode of the famous British television series Space: 1999, broadcast between 1975 and 1977.
