Pair of high back chairs 834 High Ingram by Mackintosh

Set of two collectible chairs designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh in 1910 and reissued in the Museum – Great Masters of the 20th Century collection by Alivar in the 1980s. Timeless icons of international design, these chairs perfectly embody the geometric elegance and distinctive design language of Mackintosh. Made of open-pore black lacquered ash wood, they stand out for their slender and elegant frame, paired with cushions in soft, textured antique red velvet cotton that add character and comfort to the seat. The frame is in excellent preserved condition, while the cushions show minor signs of age consistent with their vintage, with small spots visible only upon close inspection: the right cushion has very slight micro spotting, while the left one shows slightly darker and localized signs, as shown in the photos. The chairs have always been well cared for and are overall in very good condition considering their approximately 40 years of age. Seat height 46 cm.
