Description
Pair of Rosewood Nightstands with Brass Details, Original Design by Renzo Zavanella (1936-1938) for the Orazi Apartment in Milan
This pair of rosewood bedside tables with elegant brass accents originates from the original furnishings designed between 1936 and 1938 for the apartment of Engineer Orazi in Milan, crafted by renowned Italian architect Renzo Zavanella. Created in collaboration with artist Lucio Fontana, these nightstands represent a rare example of dialogue between minimalist design and sculptural artistry. Zavanella’s approach seamlessly blends technological linearity with informal inspiration, as reflected in Fontana’s celebrated work "Signorina seduta," also featured in the same apartment.
The nightstands showcase the elegance and innovative spirit of the project, combining premium materials with timeless, understated sophistication. Both pieces are in good vintage condition, showing slight signs of wear consistent with age, clearly visible in the photos.
