Description
Designed by Patricia Urquiola for Moroso, the Mathilda bar stool is a piece of furniture with a strong sculptural character, combining contemporary elegance, comfort, and outstanding craftsmanship. An iconic piece, perfect for enhancing kitchen islands, dining rooms, or sophisticated designer spaces. The solid and well-proportioned frame is crafted from solid wood, with oak legs and armrests that provide stability and a warm, tactile feel. The seat and backrest rest on an ash wood support frame and are padded with fire-retardant, shape-retaining polyurethane of varying densities, ensuring exceptional comfort even during extended use. The distinctive cross-back design, a hallmark of the Mathilda collection, showcases all the sophistication of Moroso’s design language. The mix of coverings is particularly refined: a dark green leather seat, an abstract-patterned fabric backrest in shades of green, and warm grey leather details. The covers are fixed and non-removable. The joint between the armrests and legs features hand-stitched leather inserts, a tailored detail highlighting the model’s construction excellence. The stool has been very well maintained and is in excellent condition. Approximate dimensions: total height 101 cm, seat height 78 cm, width 50 cm, and depth 54 cm, with slight variations depending on the year of production.
