This carpet is named after the city of Meymeh in Iran. It is one of the few unique Persian rugs without a central medallion. The ornaments take up abstract motifs. Hand knotted with good knot density. Weft in cotton and fleece in Wool. Production period 1990s.
This rug is hand knotted and therefore there may be slight differences in shape, thickness and pattern. This is particularly noticeable in rural and nomadic carpets. The slight imperfections of these hand-made artifacts increase their value and attest to the craftsmanship of the workmanship.
