Description
“Alien” chandelier by Luciano Castillo for Tre Ci Luce, created in the 1970s and often mistaken for later inspired models, such as Luciano Cesaro’s table lamp. The design features two elongated domes in satin white glass, with transparent tips at the ends, joined by three black metal clamps, which also reference the ceiling mount element. This composition creates a sculptural and contemporary effect, highly representative of Italian design from that era. The chandelier is in good condition and has never been used, despite being over 50 years old. The glass shows slight and almost imperceptible halos typical of this type of material, while the clamps and the inside of the ceiling mount show natural metal oxidation. The outer part of the connector is not oxidized but has minor surface marks visible only upon close inspection, which can be removed with polishing. There is also a tiny millimetric chip on one edge, nearly invisible because it is hidden by one of the clamps.
