Poul Henningsen designed his first lamps in 1925-1926 for an exhibition in Paris. His collaboration with Louis Poulsen continued until his death in 1967. Throughout his career, Henningsen aimed to create glare-free, direct lighting for essential areas, producing soft shadows using incandescent bulbs as the light source. The iconic Snowball lamp was originally designed by Henningsen in 1958 and displayed alongside the PH 5 at the Danish Museum of Decorative Art.
