Description
Spider Floor Lamp, in its most iconic version with orange lacquered metal base and reflector, designed in 1965 by Joe Colombo. Considered a true revolution in the concept of home lighting, the Spider lamp was awarded the prestigious Compasso d’Oro in 1967, becoming one of the ultimate symbols of Italian design from the late twentieth century. The lamp stands out for its distinctive horizontal painted metal reflector, specifically designed to hold a horizontally mounted bulb—an innovative solution that gives the piece its essential, futuristic, and still highly contemporary aesthetic. The solid, polished steel structure features an orange base with minor signs of use consistent with the age of the piece, and a perfectly working plastic joint, with the electrical system recently rewired. Dimensions: height 145 cm, base diameter 22 cm. An authentic piece of design history, ideal for enhancing living rooms or offices with a strong vintage and collectible accent.
