Description
The Ico Olivetti typewriter is an icon of Italian design and engineering, the brainchild of Adriano Olivetti and Gino Levi Martinoli, head of the Ufficio Progetti e Studi founded in 1929. Designed in 1932 by Riccardo Levi with stylistic contributions from Aldo and Adriano Magnelli, it was Olivetti's first portable typewriter, also known as the MP1 model. Produced between 1932 and 1950, this model was later replaced by the famous Olivetti Lettera 22. The overall condition of the machine is excellent, considering its age. The mechanics are in perfect working order, ensuring an authentic experience for vintage enthusiasts and collectors. The original case, unfortunately, shows signs of wear and the lock is not working. The dimensions are 13 cm high, 29 cm wide and 32 cm deep.
