Hand- knotted carpet from northern Iran. Medium density knotting. Weft in cotton and fleece in wool. Production period: 1990s. It takes its name from the city of Heris of Iran.
This rug is hand knotted and therefore there may be slight differences in shape, thickness and pattern. This is particularly noticeable in rural and nomadic carpets. The slight imperfections of these hand-made artifacts increase their value and attest to the craftsmanship of the workmanship.
