Gravity Rocking Chair by Peter Opsvik (1980s)

Gravity has been designed to create a unique chair that offers both relaxation and productivity. Its four reclining positions allow for postures ranging from kneeling to fully reclined. You can use it as an ergonomic kneeling chair when you lean forward, or move your weight slightly back for an upright position, resting your feet on the floor or on the shin cushions for variety. To achieve a fully reclined position, simply push gently from the floor and lean all the way back until your legs are elevated above heart level. In this zero-gravity position, the chair gently rocks in sync with your breathing, allowing you to relax in a state of weightlessness. The space between the headrest and the tilted backrest provides freedom of movement for your arms and shoulders. The headrest can be adjusted vertically to fit your needs. The wooden runners are made from layers of beech and ash veneer.
