Description
Coordinated furniture set composed of two historic and charming pieces, perfect for a study with classic and refined taste. The Kidney Desk, dated 1960, is a stunning mid-20th-century art reproduction, featuring the iconic kidney-shaped silhouette that elegantly and functionally wraps around the workspace. This desk includes five drawers—one central and four lateral—accented with original brass swan-neck handles, while the cabriole legs feature finely carved details on the upper part. The dimensions are 140 cm wide, 73 cm deep, and 75 cm high, with a total weight of 70 kg, providing both sturdiness and a strong visual presence.
The Gondola Chair, dating back to the early twentieth century (1920), is an elegant tub armchair that combines the grandeur of Empire style with the purity of Biedermeier lines. The enveloping backrest harmoniously merges with the armrests and sabre-shaped front legs, while the padded seat is upholstered in fine red damask fabric with floral motifs, ensuring both comfort and style. The dimensions are 54 cm wide, 62 cm deep, and 77 cm in total height, with a seat height of 48 cm and depth of 50 cm, weighing 10 kg.
Both pieces have been carefully preserved and are in excellent aesthetic and structural condition. The combination of the 1960 desk and the 1920 chair creates a timeless study corner, elegantly enhancing any home office or professional environment.
