Description
Original armchair of new production, perfect in every detail. Elda was the first chair to use large surfaces made of glass fiber reinforced plastic. Its design was created in 1963 and it began to be produced in 1965 by the publisher Comfort and then by F.LLi Longhi in the 2000s. For his project, Joe Colombo was inspired by ship hulls and used the technology of shipbuilding to make it happen. The self-supporting structure is placed on a revolving base with an overlapping of padded cushions covered in leather. With its enveloping top, this piece of furniture creates a space in the room which acoustically isolates it from its surroundings
