Doo Wop Bronze Ceiling Light

Introduced in 1950, this lamp was born from the collaboration between the Navy Buildings Department and Louis Poulsen. The pendant lamp was used for many years in Navy buildings in a variety of settings: cafeterias, offices, and more. The pendant, known as “Navy” at the time, was widely chosen for its unique features. In the early 1980s, Louis Poulsen discontinued its production. The design is timeless but strongly connected to the 1950s New Look style. In 2012, it was brought back as the Doo-Wop lamp in new colors and in a brass version, then in 2017 in copper and stainless steel. The manufacturing methods remain the same, and the shades are still handcrafted with a rounded edge that gives them a distinctive visual volume. The brass version represents a unique challenge for craftsmen, as it is made from a solid brass plate and features a polished finish. Flawless in appearance, it is sold with its original white fabric cable.
