Description
In 1926, the architectural collective Der Ring was founded, including prominent figures such as Walter Gropius and Mies van der Rohe himself. That same year, Mies designed with a minimal gesture what would become one of the most iconic chairs of the 20th century: the Weißenhof Chair. The following year, in 1927, it was showcased at the famous Weißenhof Exhibition in Stuttgart. In 1985, designer Stefan Wewerka called it “the most beautiful chair design since the throne of Charlemagne.” The armchair is in excellent vintage condition, as shown in the photos.
