Alveo anthracite sideboard by Willy Rizzo (70s)

The 70s 'Alveo' sideboard was designed for Willy Rizzo of Mario Sabot. The modern design features mirrored stainless steel corner edges and matching semi-circular handles that form complete circles when joined. The sideboard is finished in high gloss lacquer over dark anthracite. Rizzo was known for deliberately avoiding mass production, focusing on a concept of traditional materials and craftsmanship, as is evident in this piece. The combination of clean, simple lines and bold forms of this sideboard by Willy Rizzo for Mario Sabot would fit perfectly into a range of interiors, such as a contemporary or postmodern open plan apartment, a neoclassical dining room, an eclectic mid-century bungalow or an Italian modern style. It would also be ideal in a hospitality or corporate environment, such as a boutique hotel lobby, cocktail bar, members club, study or executive office. Condition: Very good vintage condition. Wear includes 2 small light scratches (as shown in photos). The stainless steel is in excellent condition.
