Achille Castiglioni Walnut Table Lamp (1970s)

Iconic Noce model lamp designed by Achille Castiglioni for Flos in 1972, a true masterpiece of Italian modernist design and a perfect example of Space Age aesthetics. The design stands out for its organic, compact shape inspired by a turtle shell, combining function and sculpture in a visually striking object. The base is made of black-painted die-cast metal, while the transparent pressed glass diffuser features a prismatic texture designed to diffuse light effectively and beautifully. The lamp is in excellent vintage condition: the diffuser is intact, with no cracks or chips, and the base retains its original patina consistent with its age, with minor surface marks only visible up close. There are small marks on the underside, not visible once placed, which do not affect the overall appearance. Fully functional, it is equipped with two E27 sockets and is highly versatile: it can be used as a table lamp, wall lamp, ceiling light, or floor accent piece. The felt pads confirm its use as a table lamp.
