Vintage vase (1900s) in Bohemian glass

Important museum display vase from the full Art Nouveau period. Large Bohemian glass handle vase with raised and chiselled metal decoration in Art Nouveau style. The glass has a very particular Papillon decoration: a transparent green glass with yellow-silver inclusions and iridescence. This important vase is the result of the collaboration between Moritz Hacker (Budapest 1849-1932), court jeweler, and Johann Loetz Witwe, an important artistic glass producer from Klostermühle, in Bohemia, Austria-Hungary. The works of Johann Loetz are among the most important examples of Art Nouveau. The vase features the Moritz Hacker mark under the base.
