These elegant bedroom furniture, part of an original set, are a handcrafted creation of a Gorizia factory, sold in Rijeka in 1936 by the renowned Herskovits furniture factory. Made of fine materials, the furniture has a coordinated aesthetic, but different internal functions: one is equipped with shelves, while the other is intended for a wardrobe with a coat rack and a lower chest of drawers. The structural details include rounded profiles and cornices, typical of the craftsmanship of the period, with a solid beech wood construction. The doors and sides are covered in veneered flamed briar, which gives a unique charm, while the back and tops are in solid wood. The bone handles, unfortunately compromised, testify to the attention to detail and the elegance of the materials used. There are no signs of woodworm, and the original lacquer is in good condition, preserving the beauty of these historic pieces intact.
