Beschreibung
The floor lamp, designed by Ettore Sottsass for Design Center in 70, is an iconic example of cult design. Made of aluminium, chromed steel and Perspex, this lamp has been cited in important bibliographical references (Domus, 504, November 1971, p. 34 - G. Gramigna, Repertorio del design italiano, Milan 1985, p. 339, and 2003, p . 186). All components are original, with the exception of the red incandescent bulb, replaced with a red LED lamp with low heat emission, and the switches inside the push button panel. The internal metal structure was subjected to philological restoration and sandblasted repainted, while the metal base was oven painted. The internal switches have been replaced due to wear with components of the same type. The lamp shows only slight signs of wear due to age, but is completely intact and original in all other remaining parts.
