Famous for its elementary geometric shapes, this iconic armchair perfectly illustrates Rietveld's minimalist and functional style. Utrecht is characterized by a steel supporting structure, copiously padded with polyurethane foam and polyester wadding, which offers a dual relationship of comfort and aesthetics. Its delicate contrasting seams, very particular in Horse Stitch, highlight the pure angular lines of the parts of the armchair and the comfortable sitting posture.
