Beschrijving
Designed in 1974 by the famous architect and designer Carlo Scarpa for Simon, this table is an exemplary work of his design approach, which combines formal rigor, excellent craftsmanship and a profound sense of material. The structure is made of satin-finish drawn metal, with visible burnished screws that underline the technical aesthetics of the project. The feet supporting the top are made of brass, demonstrating the attention to detail and functional elegance. The top, in very thick glass (15 mm), has a rectangular shape and rests lightly and precisely on the structure, creating a refined balance between full and empty. The designer's creations stand out for their skilful use of light, materials and construction details, which transform each object into a narrative microcosm. Bibliography: F. Dal Col, G. Mazzariol, Carlo Scarpa 1906 – 1978, pp. 186–187, Electa, 1984.
