Description
Luminator 1 by FontanaArte is a 1950s floor lamp designed by Pietro Chiesa in 1933. A lamp with such a modern personality that its date of birth is hard to believe. A long, narrow stem opens in an upward swoop to catch an upturned cone that hides the light source. Luminator was the first example on the market of an indirect emission floor lamp. FontanaArte is an Italian company founded in Milan in 1932 by Luigi Fontana and Giò Ponti, specialized in glass processing.
